WoW to introduce DirectX 11 and IPv6 with patch 4.1

World Of Warcraft has just received a new update with patch 4.1, which should make many owners of Crysis 2 shudder with jealousy because it gives the fans of the world famous MMORPG official support of DirectX 11. The followers of the game will probably not fail to notice that it was possible, for example via the control commands to activate the management of DX 11 before the release of the patch, but now no hacks are needed: it is formally established. So as you can imagine probably no graphics revolution, however, expect some optimizations such as the effects of water, for example, though many users have reported that switching to DX11 had their framerate increased slightly. Do not forget that the goal with each new release of a Microsoft API is not only to offer the best graphics at the cost of framerate, they are also supposed to allow graphics rather equivalent but drawing less on your 3D card. WoW would be more in the second case, probably soon to be confirmed by some tests.
Otherwise it is of course not the only novelty of this patch 4.1, which also introduces IPv6, provided of course that your ISP offers it. Note also that it optimizes the speed of the network, by increasing the frequency of mailing packages. It will be enabled by default, however, on the slowest internet connections that may generate some problems even disconnections! If this happens and you see this kind of disconnection after installing the patch, then you have to go and disable this new feature and everything will be fine and you don’t have to uninstall the patch entirely.
