Leatherworking: A Production Profession
This skill allows players to make various kinds of leather and skins in order not to only produce leather armor, but also patches for the creation of weapons and top metal armors. Overall the leatherworking is associated with classes carrying leather armor (Rogue, Druid, Shaman and Hunter). It is much more convenient to do everything by yourself and you will find only few players who make the leather without butchering the animals themselves.
Formulas Ingredients
The most important thing for a player is to find the leather and skins. You will find them after butchering animals. You will probably not find enough alone, so it is advisable to buy it from other players or ask your friends to collect them for you. The formulas also require from time to time other ingredients such as stains (the famous “dyes”) or thread that you bought from merchants. You might also need rare gems that are on the monsters in the coffers, mining, fishing or using the “pick pocket” skill of Rogues.
Leatherworking: an easy job
People who make with leather do not need special equipment to manufacture their goods unlike the blacksmiths who require anvils. So you can make things anywhere, as long as you have the right ingredients.

The effects of the patches do not stack. They crush each other when you apply them. You can only have one patch on an object at the same time.
